Seems pretty random. Wonder if the doctor he killed had been treating him. Maybe some CTE involved?

Oh, dang. I saw this headline earlier this morning, but the name of the suspect wasn't released yet. Sad stuff all around.
 
I couldn’t not read this and not think CTE. It’s absolutely involved. Has to be.

Yes, the doctor he shot had treated him.

He also shot and killed the doctor's wife and two grandchildren, ages 9 and 7. Fucking heartbreaking.

I could be way wrong on this so early on, and with limited info....but, it reads to me like something triggered this melee, and after it is when suicide became the option to him.

If it is CTE related (I’m thinking it has to be) sufferers just snap. They have the inability to properly manage and maintain emotions. Things like anger can rise to apocalyptical proportions.

I still feel like the biggest example of CTE, and how bad it can make someone, was OJ. He ran hard and strong, didn’t shy from contact, often lowered his head into the contact like a bull. I feel like we had the warning on CTE three decades ago.

Good point. We should identify who is a candidate for CTE, monitor them closely and if symptoms arise melt them down.

They might be right. But, they should also stop consuming so much media. We don’t need some coifed anchor to tell us the stories anymore. They are out there.

The agenda laden television media will tell the stories that they can put a toxic and misplaced spin on.

Or at least that would be my reply to them. Turn the news off.
