Freddie Freeman to Dodgers

lololol, i hope Chelsea enjoys the required neck tattoo that Freddie has to get now that he's a Dodger
I've always gotten the "gold digger" vibe from her.
She’ll probably end up with a black eye or two as well
Isn't that the Dodger way?
Chipper is the the favorite player of every Braves fan not old enough to have watched Hank Aaron. Braves offer of 5 years for 140 million was more per year and Georgia has a significantly lower tax than California. He wanted the sixth year and probably wanted to go back home to SoCal.

Everything worked out fine for both sides though. Olson is younger and has put up some really good numbers in a big time pitchers park to go with elite defense. Freddie is happy. Olson is a Brave until 2029, so Braves fans should be happy too
I'm not old enough to have watched Hank Aaron, & Chipper Jones isn't my favorite player. Dale Murphy is.

Well, I’m not old enough to have seen Murphy play, but I do know he requested a trade and I’m glad Tom Glavine beaned him.

Chipper was also significantly better than Murphy and Chipper was part of the most iconic Braves teams, why would you like Murphy more?

Freeman always seemed like a good guy, but he's always been a bit of a ''Dodger killer''.

Glad I don't have to hate him anymore. lol

We still got Rosario.

Meh, he doesn't have the Dodger killer history that Freeman does.

There have been times that I wasn't even been able to watch his at bat in a close game because I knew what was about to happen. lol

Didn't even matter who was pitching either.

Freddie’s a good un. Like our replacement though.

But Rosario’s NLCS was one of the best performances in a 6 game series of all time.

Murphy was/is my favorite player b/c I grew up in the 80s. I recall the magic of the '82 season, his two MVP seasons, then in the crazy lean years how he was literally all the Braves had, but somehow still put up numbers & even had a 44 homer season in '87. Not to mention he's about as good of a human being as one can be.

Sure, Chipper was a better player than Murph, but I sure would've loved to have seen what Murph could have done with a real supporting cast around him.

Understand that money talks, but Freeman to me should have been a lifetime Brave. Who steps up to be the face of the Franchise?

I don’t think it was really the money. Braves offered him more per year and he’s gonna be taxed a lot more in Cali too. Think he wanted that sixth year and to go back home close to his family.

Acuna is locked up for a while, probably him. Also, Freddie’s replacement Olson is from metro Atlanta. The FO wants Dansby to be, but he’s not a good enough player to for that role

This is turning into professional wrestling and Freeman just did a heel turn. If gives himself a shoe polish beard and rips his shirt off while doing an interview, I will be officially done with baseball.

He’s gonna have instant regret when he meets his new teammates and really sees the fanbase he’ll be dealing with

Precisely!

He's officially turned heel as much as humanly possible.

And just wait until he reads the fine print in his contract that says he has to rough his wife up at least twice a season.

Well this guy retired in a braves uniform.

Bingo! After 82 and 83, the Braves were pathetic until 91.
The young guys might not remember that Murphy came up as a catcher and had a bit of a problem nailing the pitcher on throws to second. That eventually lead a move to the outfield- where he was outstanding for several years.
