There are so many black QBs now, to argue that the racism of the NFL extends to that position, is kinda moot.

I'll enjoy when the movement extends to placekickers.
 
What blows my mind is that this contract is fully guaranteed so if the NFL suspends him or he gets thrown in jail the Browns still have to pay him.

Heck of a risk with this guy.

only see him getting the 6 games for being accused. don't believe this will ever go to court nor will he ever plead guilty to anything

Not as big a risk as it seems. He's not going to jail. And his base salary this year is only $1 mil. So if he is suspended this season, they aren't losing much money at all.
 
That agent negotiating that $1 million base salary in 2022 is great for his client but absolutely awful for Cleveland. So the one year you're getting him at a less than a $60 million cap hit is the year he'll almost certainly be suspended. Coincidentally, probably their best year to win because his and Garrett's cap charges are going to be a bitch in 2023.

Watson is a great QB who theoretically solves this team's QB woes for some time. But shit, that cap crunch plus not having firsts to go around it for a few years during it could really make for some really tough decisions.

The cap is going to be raised.

Frankly, cap worries are the least of my issues with this move.
