Morning gang, ready for the weekend, no real plans

Mrs Pnk is going to Wisconsin tomorrow help with her dad and bring his dog back, so I'll be a bachelor

Saturday I think I'm going to take my dad to lunch, brewery that has a food truck I'm told is good. The beer I've heard is so so, but i'll try it.
 
First Football Friday! Sold the "rental" house last night so that nightmare is over. Still sad to see it leave my mom's family. Older 3 had an easy first day of school. Buck was whipped from his first tackle football practice. Registration for flag ends tonight, so hopefully that will slow down a bit after having over 100 kids sign up. Wife is running the princess pageant & prince crowning for Wiffleball. HS football starts in Indiana & Ohio tonight. The stepkids' school vs mom's alma mater in Ohio and my alma mater plays a bigger school. Alma mater is expected to win but I think it will be tougher than others expect. Big expectations for them to make a 3rd straight trip to state. Might be possible, but I'm more cautious than everyone else on that thinking.
 
We're forecasted for severe global warming this weekend. Tonight I'm gonna change the ac air filter and clean up around the central air unit outside to ensure that it doesn't die. Then I'll spend the weekend indoors watching YouTube replays from back when Nebraska was good in football.

watching old clips if fun, but lack of High Def gets annoying
 
The weekend just means more work. The great purge of 2023 has begun and I'm starting with selling off all my LEGO sets. Only one sold so far I made 10x what I paid for it, but they all aren't going to be that good... average should be between 4-5x. Wife and kid are gathering all the old clothes and toys she no longer plays with for some big consignment sale and there are piles for goodwill everywhere.

My house is a fucking wreck, but hopefully by October will be ready for new carpet without having to put a bunch of excess stuff in storage. The attic is next, but I don't want to even pull anything out of there until the stuff in the house is gone. It's crazy the shit you accumulate when you have the space to store it.

The end goal is to finish my walk out attic space over the garage using mostly the proceeds of items sold that we already own. Lofty goal that I think is unattainable, but it helps look at items in the house differently when you see them as a $5 bill rather than some useless decoration on a shelf... and hopefully curbs the need to buy more shit.

I burn the candle at both ends too.

I saw Pnk's post up there about having no plans for the weekend and I honestly can't remember a single weekend day where I had no plans, let alone an entire weekend. I'd lose my mind, I think. I gotta keep moving.

At the airport, trying to fly to Providence, RI.

Flight is delayed and the are currently taking our bags off the plane that has been causing the delay.
