ESPN is giving them a transition payment. It’s laughable to think that’s as much as they would have made in the B12 For 23/24. While it stands to reason it’s not nearly as much of a loss as it could have been there is nothing there to suggest they left for nothing.

NCst was a No that changed to a yes only after they realized Daddy Tar Heel wasn’t taking them to greener pastures. It’s not like they were team ACC forever.

The Big 12 gained absolutely $0.00 for OU/tx leaving a year early and breaking the GOR.

The literally left without penalty.

No one knows exactly how much ESPN is paying for this transition fee.

OU/tx didn't lose a fucking thing. Not one fucking penalty dollar.

The Big 12 got $0.00 when they could/should have gotten $100 million.

The powers that be at the Big 12 are a bunch of fucking idiots.

According to USA Today, “While the Big 12’s bylaws called for a withholding of two years’ worth of their shares of conference revenue, Oklahoma and Texas have had no money withheld by the conference and they won’t in 2023-24.”

It makes ZERO SENSE for espn to pay them more in this transition fee. Again no one knows what that is.

B12 ADs were dumbfounded because the B12 wasn’t collecting the 100+ million they thought they were. Likely because ESPN (their primary network) told them they weren’t. That still doesn’t mean OU and Texas are making what they would have made in the B12 for 2024/2025 season.

No ones talking about 2023/2024. It’s 2024/2025 which Texas and OU arent getting paid by ether the B12 or SEC. They are getting a transition fee from ESPN. You know, the network that was laying people off left and right earlier this year.

Stop distracting from the fact that OU/tx paid ZERO penalty for breaking the GOR, and that the Big 12 got $0.00

OU/tx shit all over that contract and in the Big 12's face.

yeah when the athletic dropped that article.. I was shocked.. ESPN really used their leverage for their two schools move to the SEC
