BULL FUCKING SHIT they aren’t taking a hit. Is it as much as it could have been? Hell no, that doesnt mean they are leaving for nothing retard. ESPN isn’t paying them 30+ million each for a transition fee. No fucking chance. They take a hit albeit not as much as it could have been for 2024/2025 season. That’s not leaving for nothing.

Not only do OU/tx NOT have to pay $100 million (each) to the Big 12 for an early exit penalty, they're getting paid for joining the SEC.

So now you’re moving goal posts. The argument wasnt the B12 is getting nothing you flaming idiot.

It was OU and Texas are leaving for nothing. There is nothing to suggest the transition fee espn is paying them for 24/25 is anywhere close to the $30+ million they’d make staying that last Year in the B12.

Sure they can take the hit (small as it may be) for a year. It’s still not nothing. My entire point.

$44 million was last seasons payout. It’ll continue to rise.

They aren’t going to be making whatever they would have for the 24/25 season in the B12.

Just Because they lose not as much as they should have doesn’t mean it’s not a hit.

The Big 12 distributions to OU/yx weren't going to be $200 million+ for the 24/25 season.

OU/tx lost absolutely nothing for shitting all over that GOR. A simple balance sheet shows that.

It's the Big 12 that lost over $200 million in penalty fees.

At that point, it would be much easier for the ACC to just add OSU, WSU and the others that are wanted. 8 of those teams will be in the ACC next year.

No you fucking imbecile, the B12 wasn’t relying on that $200+ million to pay their members. The B12 still is getting their media rights deal + whatever else from the playoffs and march madness. The $200 million was just extra.

TX/OU is getting paid by NEITHER the B12 nor SEC for 24/25 media rights. ESPN is paying them a transition fee. If you are dumb enough to believe (and you’ve certainly proved that you are) that transition fee will be the same or more then they would have made in the B12 for that year then I can’t help you.

One last time for the retard from Nebraska, my argument is TEXAS AND OU DIDNT LEAVE FOR NOTHING. It has not once been the B12 wasnt ass raped by ESPN over this. Everyone can see they were.

Kliavkoff is sure to be fired soon.
The implosion wasn't entirely his fault, but he fucked up by jumping on the side of the departing 10 against WSU/OSU. Not sure what he thought he was going to gain there other then getting his full contract paid, but he could have handled that once the departing 10 were removed from the board. It's like he didn't even have an atty to advise him that his own words/actions regarding USC/UCLA/Colorado were going to be used against him in court. He was fine removing those three from the board and penalizing their distributions..... Until he wasn't.

No way they get ACC teams. Those teams would be better off going it alone as the ACC without FSU/Clemson.
