FSU files for exit from ACC

They realized they are fucked without the ACC. Not sure how that contradicts anything I posted.
Things can change quickly. Do I see that happening for NCst? Right now hell no, but if the B1G takes the right amount of teams NCstate could be interest for the SEC. Again I don’t see that happening right now but things Can change.

No you fucking imbecile, the B12 wasn’t relying on that $200+ million to pay their members. The B12 still is getting their media rights deal + whatever else from the playoffs and march madness. The $200 million was just extra.

TX/OU is getting paid by NEITHER the B12 nor SEC for 24/25 media rights. ESPN is paying them a transition fee. If you are dumb enough to believe (and you’ve certainly proved that you are) that transition fee will be the same or more then they would have made in the B12 for that year then I can’t help you.

One last time for the retard from Nebraska, my argument is TEXAS AND OU DIDNT LEAVE FOR NOTHING. It has not once been the B12 wasnt ass raped by ESPN over this. Everyone can see they were.

LOL

"tEh $200 MiLLiOn wAs JuSt eXtRa"

You're dumber than a box of rocks.

OU/tx are NOT out $100 million+ each. Their penalty for shitting all over that contract was "NOTHING". On their 24/25 and 25/26 balance sheets they made money, and lots of it.

Again, your finances must be a disaster.

So your grasp on this is none. And You feel the need to bring up an extra year on this and yet cry I’m giving distractions.

The fact that you think they are making the same or more money from a transition fee for 24/25 says it all.

Stay stupid

find someone that loves you as much as @CoalTrain loves obvious bullshit bait.

NC State voted to let SMU, Cal and Stanford into the conference. They know they have no future without the ACC. They aren't going to vote to kill it.

NCst was a No that changed to a yes only after they realized Daddy Tar Heel wasn’t taking them to greener pastures. It’s not like they were team ACC forever.

Me thinks ralphie has had a stroke. It's like debating OldTimer all over again.

Do you know why, you flaming idiot?

The Big 12 GOR called for 2 years of penalty even though OU/tx were only going to leave one year early.
The Big 12 GOR called for keeping any media rights distribution that OU/tx would get from their new conference (i.e. The SEC). The Big 12 owned all media rights for OU/tx for 2024/2025 and 2025/2026. You know..... An "extra year".

You still can't figure out a balance sheet can you? Does your mommy still balance your checkbook? LOL

THE GoR ENDED IN 2025 you fucking clown. They were never going to be on the hook for a 2 year penalty unless they left without negotiating anything. Well gee golly they negotiated $100 million to leave early. They were NEVER going to be on the hook for 25/26. This is a straight up lie.

NO ONE is arguing they didn’t make out. I’m arguing they didn’t leave for NOTHING.

LOL at having to balance a checkbook.

The GOR specified a 2X penalty for any team leaving early. It doesn't matter when said GOR expires for the remaining Big 12 teams (i.e. The Angry 8) The GOR penalty applied to departing teams.

"You're leaving a year early? Good you owe 2X (i.e. 2 years) media rights of your new conference."

Not for the Big 12 and ralphie tho. The Big 12 made out like bandits by forgiving over $200 million in revenue.

LOLOLOLOL

I don’t know how to explain this more to you. They negotiated a year early leaving and $100 million total. NOT $200 million like you keep saying. That 2 year penalty never came to happen because:

first Tx/OU planned on staying until the GoR expired (next June)

then NEGOTIATED $100 million to get out a year early

So infact using the 25/26 year when the B12 was never going to get that money from them is useless.

And lol at continuing to pivot to me thinking the B12 made out here. As I’ve stated 20 times this thread no one is arguing the B12 made out here. But you continue to argue this.

OU/tx lost nothing by shitting all over that GOR. They came out a net positive on the balance sheet BIGLY.

The Big 12 lost by allowing OU/tx to shit all over the GOR and leave a year early. They came out a net negative on the balance sheet BIGLY.

You're dumb.

I've never seen a school behave more like a bunch of cry babies.

You are guessing and hoping just for the sake of argument. There is NOTHING to suggest ESPNs transition fee is in the ballpark of the B12 media rights for 24/25.

The b12 absolutely got shit on, because daddy ESPN said so. Again Nothing is being argued here.

I'm done arguing this with you. You're just too fucking stupid to comprehend basic addition/subtraction maffs.

If I'm owed $200 million+ for someone violating our contract, and they end up owing me $0.00, plus they get paid a supplement by someone else for breaking our contract, then they made out like bandits on their balance sheets and I got hosed.

Their balance sheet doesn't matter how much they would have stood to make from me for the following year unless it were more than $200 million plus their supplement.

It's really quite simple and shows just how stupid you are for thinking OU/tx lost something.

That wasn’t the argument dummie. The argument was OU/TX LEFT FOR NOTHING.

Congrats, they don’t have to pay $50 mill each to get out a year early. That still doesn’t mean it was free for them to leave. Considering the B12 nor SEC isn’t paying them any MEDIA money for 24/25, it stands to reason the network (that had layoffs just earlier this year) isn’t paying more with that transition fee.

You Should be done arguing, you continue to not understand the argument while throwing out wrong numbers and hurling insults. It’s not my fault you are fucking retarded.

I mean its an idea

IIRC.. they signed a deal with the MWC already.. which means they can't poach any MWC schools and that there is a way for them to join the MWC or merge with them

this was in order to schedule.. i believe 7 games vs their conference schools

i dont believe there is any such deal that says they have to join and cant later try to poach MWC schools. their deal is only for 2024

FFS

"Nothing" = Zero penalty, you empty headed moron. They left for zero penalty which means they "left for nothing".

Even @Thiefery said they left for "nothing". Because they did, dumbass.

The fact is you're too stupid to understand a basic balance sheet. You should not even be in charge of a Quicky Mart cash register.

6 games each without canceling any that were already on the books. i believe both had a game or 2 already
