FSU gets their day in court ...

I am not the only one here saying that, and it was all over X ... that video was posted hundreds of times with everyone laughing at it.

You are being a homer and wanting it to be something it's not. No player when they say Bama announced groaned because in their minds they were saying, "oh, poor FSU, no way an undefeated conference champ should be left out of the CFP." C'mon.

The groan was "oh, fuck, we thought we had a bye with FSU and now instead we have to play Bama ... fuck."

FSU was truly a bye this year. TCU was roadkill for UGA last year but they were the type of team who could get up for 1 game and beat a team like Michigan. FSU with their 2nd & 3rd string QBs struggled to do much against a bad Florida team and a mediocre Louisville defense. They probably would not had scored at all on Michigan unless defense or special teams gifted the offense points.

Yep lol. I Guarantee Michigan went to bed thinking and celebrating that they were playing FSU, then they acted like they saw a ghost when Bama popped up on the screen instead of FSU.
Michigan should have been playing the one loss Texas … Florida State should have been #3. Unless they would have put Washington or Florida State #1 - A case could be made for that. Florida State had an OOC that had Florida and LSU. Michigan’s OOC was East Carolina, UNLV and Bowling Green (not exactly a threat). Put Michigan at #3 … but all undefeated P5 Champions should be in the playoffs.

Eh LSU ill give but Florida is a bad 5-7 team, I wouldn't count them as a "quality" OOC opponent. Michigan's OOC was weak but their in conference schedule was tougher. They had to play #7 #10 and #17

FSU's in conference they only played #15 and #22

When you schedule a team to play, you can not know how good that team will be when you play them. LSU and Florida are not safe choices. East Carolina, UNLV and Bowling Green are pretty safe. Regardless both teams are undefeated champions (as well Washington) and should be in the playoffs.

You get credit for how good the team is when you play them, you don't get "well that's not a safe choice!" kudos points.

If the team ends up being bad that's just how the cookie crumbles. Nobody wanted to give us style points at the beginning of the Urban era for playing awful Cal teams because "they were respectable when we scheduled them!" :pound:

Irregardless isnt a word.

Oh, how I wish that were true ... it's always been a pet peeve of mine since I was admonished for using it in an argument in federal court in the late 1980s. I got a two-fer that day for also using "void" instead of "devoid." Fortunately, the judge was a friend of my father's and he got the word to me through his clerk in private.

Merriam-Webster can be and is wrong.

Yeah -- OSU fans and you. What a shocker. Two jilted brides not invited to the big dance.

And in the past -- ABSOLUTELY, I'd hate to play Bama, just like in the last two years, I'd hate to play Georgia. But Bama and Georgia are nowhere near the level they were in year's past.

But hey -- believe what you will. I'm happy to be playing the premiere team in the SEC. Makes it that much more entertaining.

I knew someone was getting screwed for Bama, it was either gonna be FSU or Texas, so it didn't really surprise me in the end. There's no way Bama was getting left out.
I thought that too, but just couldn't fathom the CFP committee leaving out an undefeated P5 conference champ -- For no other reason than what I stated already. What happens if Bama and Texas win, then Bama beats Texas. Then FSU beats Georgia much worse than Bama did.

Are they going to say a 1 loss Bama are the national champs over the undefeated FSU team? Or are they going to say -- Congrats on going undefeated, but 1 loss Bama is the champ, because you weren't invited to party.

As much as I hate ESPN and SEC bias, Desmond is a fucking idiot, he always talks out of his ass. There's no way they leave FSU out for a 1 loss team if Travis was healthy.

I mean Bama would obviously be crowned CFP champs which is the main thing now. I guess the AP/Coaches technically could vote FSU #1 but they won’t

Florida State is already ranked ahead of Bama in the AP poll. Is a win over Georgia going to drop them?

GTFOH ... we would kick your ass ... nowhere near the level in years past. We lost one game by 3 points. Man, it's something else to win 29 in a row with a lot of players on this year's team, lose one game to Bama by 3, and suddenly we aren't good anymore. Congrats, the 4 team format kept us out. It won't next year and I hope we get to play your slow-ass team. SMH, nowhere near the level ...

And it was everyone, not just a couple people here.

Yep. They aren’t giving FSU who won a non playoff bowl game a “split title”. I could see a few voting FSU #1 but not enough to take it from Bama in that situation
