There's no single reason keeping Nebraska down like some mouth breather would have you believe. If Nebraska lands the right coach(who gets all the pieces in the right places: development, recruiting, actual coaching assistants) it could all change, odds aren't looking great on finding it.
Yes, if the stars align, the ball bounces your way, every call goes your way and Bama, Georgia, OSU, LSU, Clemson, Florida, USC, Texas, Oklahoma, etc all have down years -- Nebraska could win another title in today's game.:thumb:

I could win the mega million drawing in back to back weeks too.

I thought I was in love with Nebraska football...shit. im like a newb compared to him
You still know about a billion times more than he does about football and about a trillion times more about Nebraska football

Crazy for the last 20 years -- all the elite teams happen to be in or on the border of talent rich states and in talent rich recruiting areas. It isn't the 80's and 90's anymore. If you aren't in one of the prime recruiting states -- you aren't winning national titles. You may get to the fodder in the CFP one in a while like Michigan was and Notre Dame has been, but you will get bounced just like those teams too.

Tell me about all the teams who win national titles without elite recruiting? You tried using Clemson, who won their titles with 5 star QB's from the state they are located on the border of.........Georgia.

The list has to be really long. Or is it just a coincidence that the "elite coaches" winning national titles happen to located in talent rich states?

Pretty sure Deshaun Watson wasn't a 5 stat recruit.

Urban Meyer isn't going anywhere near Nebraska. His legacy is set in CFB. If OSU opened again, I could see him going there.

You could tick off the schools Meyer would return for. The only school not located in a talent rich state Urban Meyer would go to would be Notre Dame. He called it his dream job as he was a fan growing up and has coached there before as a WR coach.

The rest of the schools are the big one's in talent rich states:
OSU
USC
Georgia (maybe, not sure if the whole he coached at Florida would make UGA uninterested if they were looking for a coach)
Texas
LSU
Florida State (Florida is out, but Meyer has a ton of connections in the state, I could see him going to FSU)

Personally -- I don't think he even comes back to coaching unless OSU opens again though. Just my opinion though.

You may be right. But if I'm Nebraska, I'm throwing together as much money as I can at him and making him say no. If they could land someone like that, it would greatly help their ability to recruit well despite lacking in state talent,

Bro we should just stop playing football cuz some mouth breather has a retarded opinion. Shouldn't even bother trying πŸ˜‚πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

I've just burned all my Nebraska football gear. we can't ever do anything.

I have some of these coming... you want some

Can't say I know for sure, I just figured he was, as Lawrence broke most of his records. I know Watson set all the records in the state of Georgia, something ridiculous like over 200 career tds and 12,000 yards passing. Don't quote me on that, as I don't feel like looking it up. I know it is in the general vicinity.

So if he wasn't a 5 star, I'm sure he was a top 50 recruit nationally.

You shouldn't stop playing football, you should curb your expectations. The end goal for Nebraska in today's CFB is to compete with your new 'rivals', Wisconsin and Iowa. Nebraska is 0-15 against those two teams in their last 15 games.
