Fuck nicotine

You’re too old to quit now.

Tell me about. Just can't rationalize the health benefit but the $80 saved in the last week...

Oh man. When I quit a long time ago a pack was still less than 4 bucks. What do they cost now?

It’s a fucking bastard thats had a hold on you for a long time. It’s going to continue to be a bastard to try and pull you back in.

I’m guessing you’re about a week to a week and a half in? Money saved is a good motivator, but I always tried to find more benefits as it goes on to prop me up.

Be a full week this PM. I can intellectualize what withdrawal is doing to my brain and body. Makes it easier. But then, I am avoiding triggers like alcohol until the physical part is done.

Give it a week, but then you need to hit those triggers right in the mouth. Spend a nite getting completely fucked up and deal with it. Do that a few times, and then go to a bar and do it. Shove your way thru it.

It’s just smart. I remember I didn’t drink until months after a quit. Easy for me as I don’t drink much. Luckily the green was never a trigger issue, thank God.

My last little bit was on the 2nd. Hasn't been that hard for me, but I have weaned myself off quite a bit over the last couple years.

You should! You have every reason to quit, man. There are some things you can do to clean a lot of the filth out.

At my age? The damage is already done. Smoking today isn't going to kill me 10 years down the road, don't plan on running any marathons. But I do need a new flyrod.

Yes, absolutely at your age. The damage is done and can be undone.

I quit dipping months ago and I still crave it. I’ll bum a pinch every now and then still, but I haven’t bought a can and go weeks at a time between them. I’ll be happy if I can let a pinch every few weeks get me through as long as I’m not buying 2 cans a day like I was
