We were supposed to go out to dinner with my in-laws tonight. Apparently something happened with my FIL, and he had to go to the ER. MIL just texted my wife about this, because trips to the ER don't merit a phone call.

I got a text from my mom about my uncle last week...she had heard through another cousin that he was in the hospital after leaving the Italian American Club.
turns out the cousin was wrong and got everyone spun up for nothing

I know how that goes
My mom had skin cancer. It was relatively minor, just had few lesions or whatever removed and she was fine. Didn't find out until months later
Step dad had prostate cancer, same story
Step dad spent week in Hospital with an infection, I only found because I randomly called her, "Oh I'm just sitting at hospital"
