Pro for my wife: Not from Sconny.
she never wants to move back to Sconi, so that's a plus

and she doesn't like Badgers or Packers

4 straight days of trial next week. Worst week ever.
Alicia was doing bond court, a huge inheritance case, trying to negotiate her exit package from her old firm, trying to stay out of jail on contempt, and trying to get her husband elected President last night. All from her bedroom office.
So quit whining.

I don’t even know how people get COVID. I was in huge no mask crowds. On public transportation, the masks were used in a half assed manner.

maybe you gotta bang hookers? Probably an STD.

just gotta be around someone with COVID for a period of time longer than just in passing.

like a cold.

you aren't going to catch a cold from someone by walking by them on the street. You need to share space with them for more time

I don’t want this to be political, so I’m choosing my words carefully.

my flight was 8 hours (masks used pretty well).

my train ride to the airport was 9 hours, and masks were poorly used by the patrons. Good social distancing though. the need for the train is a story for another post.

we used public transportation daily for two weeks, and masks were very poorly used. Busses, subways, and trains.

we walked around a dozen cities where no one work masks. And while in Amsterdam, it was like a party. Huge maskless crowds. Everyone drunk and stoned.

was sure I would have COVID. But PCR was negative. Maybe I do have it, and it was a false negative. Or maybe I got it on the way back.

well, it's like any infectious disease. Certain activity is higher risk, but not 100% guarantee you get it

Just like how your spouse can get flu or your kids and you care for them and not get it.

non covid, since working from home I've been a lot healthier

who knew working on a college campus attached to a hospital would make one get colds and other minor ailments more often

It also helps that the Netherlands is way below peak infection rates, too. If not a lot of people have COVID, you're not very likely to get COVID.

Couldn't tell tou.
Just be thankful you haven't gotten it, whether it's luck or whatever

I sure hope so... 🤞

My wife flips her shit if we don't plan dinner. You're a lucky man.

how far in advance must dinner be planned?

last night my wife walks into my office at 5:30... "I don't wanna cook, what are you ordering on door dash?"

we got Chinese delivered 30 minutes later. Does that count as "planning"?

I think some of it now is because of the stroke, but she like stresses out about "cooking lunch" for the family. Meanwhile, I just stroll up and make myself a turkey and cheese sandwich. Like, this isn't some cooking competition and you have to serve 4 plates of the same thing.

wish my wife would stress about cooking me lunch. I get the occasional plate handed to me while I'm working, but everything but dinner is fend for yourself here.

I usually make myself breakfast, and if I hadn't started working from home, I'd be doing lunch on my own too, so I'm a big guy who can make his own lunch.

I think part of it is my FIL is about this inept at cooking:
