I filled up my Chevy yesterday at the cheapest place in town and it was $3.59 a gallon. I'm seeing plenty of stations in my travels that are over 4 bucks a gallon.
Same place as above was at $4.19 yesterday. BJ's Wholesale is the cheapest in town once again at $3.99/gal :L
 
$5.39 in California but still not like 1973 when dad could only get gas on even/odd (license plate) days. That limited travel. Or 1978, when there were big gas lines when I started driving. I have a long memory. It is all just market driven. I am not worried too much about it. The oil companies lost their shirts in 2020 during COVID when the price went negative, and many frackers went bankrupt. Now, the oil companies are hesitant to add production and are in the reward the shareholders mode.
 
so ...very quietly in the last 5 days crude dropped 12%
will we ever see that at the pumps?
Gas got up to 3.99 here. Most places are at 3.77 now. Don't know about Murphy Mart.
