How does that work in terms of when they are found? Does it not also affect the rescue workers?

If they were there a long time, yes. But if they aired the place out and turned off the source (a heater probably) and limited their exposure they’d be fine.

Dog was dead also which probably means carbon monoxide poisoning. Some type of equipment probably malfunctioned and they died in their sleep.
