After catching up with everything...something my mother said to me before she died. Don't become so responsible for someone elses health that you forget to take care of yourself.

Poor lady dies in her 60's. The guy she was working to keep alive, out lives her. This happens a lot.

It's kind of a freak, struck-by-lighting sort of a event. She was 60, but by all reports in good health, and hantavirus looks and feels like cold/flu. This strain doesn't kill a lot of people annually, but can kill quickly.

I think we all wish that Hackman would've died first, instead of stumbling around, confused and hungry, wondering why the only person in his life wasn't there, for a few horrifying days.

Omg. I saw mice droppings a few weeks ago and didn’t know I wasn't supposed to just sweep them away and have been fearing I’m going to get hantavirus ever since! ☠️

This took another turn. Gene didn't leave his kids squat. And left everything to his dead wife. But she died first. So the $80 million dollar estate is going to be in limbo till the courts get around to making a decision.

It's unclear if his three children, son Christopher Allen, 65, and daughters Leslie Anne, 58, and Elizabeth Jean, 62, from his previous marriage to Faye Maltese, were left anything in his will.

The possible omission of his children, who he was once estranged from, has raised the possibility of a legal battle over his fortune.

A legal expert told DailyMail.com 'If he died first and she [Betsy] had survived, it would’ve been World War III.
