So it'd just be state tax. They'd still owe federal.

I can see a lawsuit coming from peeps that have to pay state income taxes on their earnings while some athlete is exempt.

Except Texas not having a state income tax applies to EVERYONE in Texas.

There's not a preferential treatment.

why stop at College players.. why not all professional athletes too? gives them an incentive to sign with the Falcons or Braves or whatever MLS/USFL/XFL/minor league teams in that state

Stockton was hitting open guys, they were dropping the ball.

Hoping these transfer receivers and young guys will make things better next season. Worst receiver group I can remember at UGA

I didn't take that as losing Carson Beck. I thought he meant winning that game made you face Notre Dame first instead of Clemson and Arizona State

I’m not so sure we host a first round game if we lose the SECCG. I took it as them knocking out Beck on another stupid decision right before half

Why just football players? Are other sports exempt from this benefit? That’s going to cause all sorts of legal issues.

Long past time Congress got involved to create a national standard. Also they could resolve the players’ status as employees to at least give courts guidance on how to address NCAA rulings without resorting to their default position that there’s no CBA so the rules are invalid.
