Giving Tuesday

This is also why you should never buy team merch with player information on it unless said player is retired. Think about all of the Dodger fans who risked another felony strike stealing Seager jerseys and now he’s a Ranger.
I pulled out my Brian Dawkins jersey this weekend and put it on...then I remembered I hate wearing jerseys so I threw it back in the drawer.

you don't have to charge them all that often

but it can be a PITA
looks like the new one works on lower voltage, I'll have to check volts I am at, but am skeptical

I can assure you that as an Indians fan, this is not something you need to tell me.

I haven't bought a lot of jerseys, but I've left them all blank except for one that I had personalized - #13 Cerrano.

I haven't worn my old Celek jersey much this year. Haven't bought a new one yet, but I used to buy one of the "not to spec" jerseys that wind up on the intertubes.

Haven't bought a Phillies one in a long time, too. Think the last one I bought was an Utley. My wife got me and the kids Harper shirseys last season.

I miss the days when I just went through the Sears catalog and circled what I wanted
Yes! I loved that. We would get all excited with the Christmas edition would come in the mail!

Or, stay with me here..... when said player leaves they mark those puppies down in price because they want to move them. That is how I got my Kerry Wood jersey

Chicken for the win!

I'm going to search the attic, but after that I am out of ideas. House was built in 1948, few remodels, who knows where the damn thing is

or just run a new wire...

My 12 year old gave us her Christmas “Suggestion List” last night. 3 pages, bullet pointed. Broken out into seven subcategories with links to where said items can be purchased. I was simultaneously appalled by the sheer number of items on the list and impressed by her organizational skills.

we got a powerpoint... which is funny because we already finished with her gifts, so this list is getting distributed to grandparents.

my mom bought me a Harper jersey when he signed because he was wearing #3, which was my dad's number

otherwise I have a Rollins jersey that I have only worn a handful of times and a Thome shirtsy that I can't find.

I am tempted by the new Sixers jerseys...but I won't get one on my own

Her list is mostly little shit. I‘d bet the average price point is under $10 for all of things she has listed.

I always did fake until my first kid was about 4yo. Since then we've done real and make a day of getting it at a local tree farm and decoration the house, watching xmas movies/specials and drinking christmas ales.

We'll likely go back to fake at some point, but for the time being, I'm loving this tradition.

We used to do real for a long time and loved the tradition, but one year it got really warm and humid here in mid-December and the tree "woke up"... new sprouts all over the tree and fucking bugs everywhere. Plus we've replaced 16+ year old cats with 1 and 2 year old cats, so they tend to be a bit more curious and want to climb or eat the real trees, so fuck that shit.

The underwear section was a boy’s best friend.
Amen brother. A teenaged Chicken found a whole new toy section in there!

I also apparently retained a lot of the lingerie jargon because I have to dial it down and not correct my wife with the pronunciations

I have a McNabb jersey that's like 3 sizes to big for me. Not sure what my parents were thinking sending me that thing. It's so big I have a picture of both me and my wife in it at the same time.
