So I watched it the hour it was released on HBO Max...... annnnnd it is probably what most expect. It is mindless entertainment. The story is dumb, the writing is generic/poor, the FXs are good, the sound is pretty good, the fights are ok, the destruction is too much in my opinion, etc... I give it a 5/10. It is semi-fun to watch as you get to see a lot, Kong is front and center most of the movie, it is basically a Kong movie.

But if you are looking for a cinematic effort, wrong place lol. Which I think is somewhat unfortunate as Avengers Infinity War was able to have all the action and FXs with a decent story and decent writing. I think the same could have been done with the MonsterVerse, but like DC, they wanted to capitalize quickly and make big money.
