It’s just a strange situation with Venables squarely on the hot seat. I expect Arbuckles got around $1.5 to be off cord but that isn’t out yet. And no anyone that knew anything about Venables had to have known the defense would be elite at some point. I have a feeling he is being told he has to step back and be a better head coach, I think Stoops has been involved, in a positive way of course.
