Which Metallica song is the greatest? HooplaNation shall collectively decide!

I seeded the top 32 Metallica songs streamed on Spotify (as of today) into a tournament-style bracket. The top 8 seeds get a first round bye. The first round will include groups of three songs (so this doesn't become too cumbersome).

Polls will be created for each match-up. Voting will be open for one week per match-up. If voting closes in a tie, my vote is the tie break.

1. Metallica was the greatest thrash metal band to ever exist.
2. Dave Mustaine was a member, but his contributions and importance are overstated.
3. Metallica gave up the throne with the release of the black thing and have been toothless ever since.
