@AlaskaGuy SoCal has a lot of talent, the benefits of them, AZ for recruiting grounds is still better than the NW. I'm not bashing Udub or Oregon, it's just not the same at this moment. And yes they offer more TV sets even though they may get lower ratings than when Oregon playing Udub gets.

Those two aren’t even remotely close. At least with the person you are speaking of is trying to stimulate the economy. No matter how much debt Cal collects to improve facilities they will never have the fan support to have a real positive budget and they don’t have the support of their academics. This of course could change if the conference gets a commissioner that somehow can get a tv deal that rivals the B1G and SEC, but since the conference wants to own all of their content that isn’t going to happen.

lol he's stimulated himself over and over.. Not mad at it, get your money how you can. As far as the PAC conference goes, they do need to move on from Larry, and get someone who understands show business. They can start promoting the conference and have ties with networks. I don't care if they get ESPN/FOX to go in with them on it's network or if they sign a deal with Paramount to air it's T3 games.. anything is better than what they have now.. Only bringing in a cool million per school????

The talk is now October 10th start date. That is more reasonable, but really, they need to stop this. Unless they lay out whatever it is that needs to be set up before play and the reasoning for that - then the question of why can't they play now or on the original date will always linger.

FCS is playing for crying out loud and the B1G in all of its resources is still in the no column. Ridiculous.

Your first sentence makes literally no sense but we will move past it. The Pac 12 needed to move on from Larry Scott the moment he agreed in principle to the shitty television deal. Getting someone who show business is the exact opposite the conference needs. They need to get commissioner or an AD from a G5 or FCS conference. Someone that can stretch a dollar. The Pac 12 is by far the wealthiest P5 conference but expenditures cannot be more than every other P5 conference combined but a fraction of the revenue. Before any of the problems are addressed, the conference HQ needs to be moved. Las Vegas should be the HQ of the conference not the most expensive real estate in the country.
