Guess the CFP Top 25

Theres no reasonable way for the committee to not have Cincy top 4 right now

Who would be ahead of them? UGA and MSU yes but Cincy has a better win than OU or Wake. Their best W is also better than either OSU or Bama and those teams have a loss too. Oregon has a better win but a bad loss.

The committee will have Cincy at 3 because thats where they currently belong and to not have them there would be transparently awful. Theres a better argument to be made theyll be 2 than there is tbeyll be lower than 3rd

Still too low.

Does Clemson really count as a #3 ranked team win. The answer is no. I could see if this was midseason but they are barely a top 50 team.
Arky had some steam early in the season but kinda fell off the map.
Florida is garbage but that's something we all knew would happen with Big Game Danny.

All that being said, even if the wins vs ranked team aren't overly impressive...they are easily the #1 team imo. They EASILY have the best defense and are dominating opponents left and right. The only team that has a chance until the SECCG to come close to them is Tennessee and they are inconsistent but it is in Knoxville so maybe they take out half the team with golf balls and shoes.
Yeah, that bullshit of counting a win/loss with a ranked opponent at the time of the game is 100% horseshit IMHO. And I am harsher than you because I wouldn't use mid season rankings either.

First off, it is not a playoff. It is an invitational.
Secondly, it is about money. Even undefeated, Wake Forest will not be invited.
Finally, the CFP committee will not put Cincy in the top 4 in the beginning, because if they win out, it will be somewhat tough to drop them.

1 Georgia
2 Oklahoma
3 Michigan State
4 Alabama
5 Oregon
6 Ohio State
7 Cincinnati
8 Wake Forest

17 NC State
18 Iowa
19 Houston
20 Minnesota
21 UTSA
22 UL Lafayette
23 Fresno State
24 SMU
25 Coastal Carolina
Correct. CFP needs to be changed to CFI.

Nice...

3 things to watch:

1) Where is Cincy ranked? Committee will almost certainly have them lower than the AP does but how much lower?
2) Where is undefeated but not always impressive Oklahoma start? They're 9-0 but their schedule is backloaded.
3) Oregon vs. Ohio State? The metrics tell you that Ohio State is the better team but the committee has used head to head almost religiously when comparing teams with identical records. Will that continue? If it does, that will be a huge boost for Oregon.

My (probably wrong) guess:
1. Georgia
2. Michigan State
3. Alabama
4. Oklahoma
5. Oregon
6. Ohio State
7. Cincinnati
8. Michigan

I'd like a word with you...

Unless your words are "you're right" you should probably take a seat if you are trying to tell us Georgia and Wisconsin have similar defenses.

The seat I'll be taking is yours. Points allowed is the only place they differ. Defensive points allowed is even closer.

So is this the thread we’re doing this in?

I wouldn't take Wisconsin's Defense over Alabama's, let alone Georgia's, but you do you.

Mississippi st at 17…5-3 with losses to Memphis and LSU

I'd probably trade coaches, but not players.
Jon Stewart What GIF

OU a few spots down from what I thought. No problem with it though.

OU #8
Let the debate begin!

Nooooooo...we need Bama at like 5 or 6
