Guitar Porn - Show Me Yours

Nice, man! That's a PRS? Will get mine posted soon! Down to one guitar now for the first time since I was 16.

SE Mark Holcomb. 25.5", Ebony fretboard, Satin neck. I looked a long time for these specific features and turns out PRS makes one.

I have a junk acoustic in my basement, but I have no porn

a good friend of mine does the inlay work for PRS and Martin.

this is the one she has been working on for the last year and what is currently paying her bills.

This is a project guitar. It started as a worn out Squire that I rebuilt into what is pretty much a Tex/Mex style Strat.

I refinished it and replaced everything except the body and neck. Put some hot Fender pickups in it. Sassy little girl.

This was my main gig guitar when I was in my early 20's. She shows a lot of wear and tear, but still plays great.

"Does God know he's missing an angel?"

*checks tag on her shirt "Just what I thought, girlfriend material."

This is the only bass I have left. Nothing special. I haven't played it in a while ... pretty dusty.

I had a Rickenbacker back in the day, but traded it for a Peavey half stack. Wish I still had that thing.

One of my acoustic/electrics. It has some fret buzz on the high E string that I need to fix, but for now a folded piece of paper under it at the bridge works.

I have an acoustic guitar in my recording studio. I'll show the studio and guitar once my daughter gets her crap out of there. For now, here's all of my boards and hand drums...

Nobody wants to show or talk about their amps? I don't care how good your guitar or bass is, it's really only as good as your amp. I've always found that you can make a mediocre guitar sound really good through a great amp, but, if you have a cheesy amp, then you have a cheesy sounding guitar.

Nothing big. I just snag a couple minis that can be moved room to room as needed.

My Peavey Vypyr VIP1 - ran about $100 but there are some good tones/effects to be found with some trial and error. The XXX and Twin settings get used a lot. It sounds better than the price reflects with the exception of getting a muddy tone on the top E string Higher up the neck. But that's clean tone only and I rarely go there and any distortion/gain gets rid of it. I know it's not the guitar because it sounds fine on my mini Marshall.

Verdict - yes it is worth $100. I would buy it again.
