Halloween Thursday

With Mrs out of town, I am NOT doing trick or treat. I hate it so I am calling executive privilege.

Instead, I am placing a sign on the door indicating that Kamala Harris took my candy. Those little urchins will believe anything

Congratulations buddy. Sorry I couldn't make it to the wedding. In your absence I had great fun making jokes at your newly betrothed expense
well I was going to share my wedding pics with you...but now I'm not

Morning, fuckos. Hope you've got your candy ready if you aren't in one of those communist parts of the country that doesn't allow trick or treating on Halloween night.
I hate Halloween, kids just act like idiots at school the day of and days after

trying to figure out a horror flick to throw on for the night, culminate the month, i watched for the first time:

1. Spirit Halloween - 1st day of the month, I knew my parents were going to be staying over and wanted to go with something dumb, knowing the viewing experience would be interrupted).
2. Speak No Evil - Felt too telegraphed, though I like all of the principals in it (3 of the 4, not saying the wife of McAvoy was bad, but I knew the works of the other 3).
3. Amber Alert* - Not sure if this counts as horror.
4. Strange Darling - Always like Kyle Gallner in stuff, again felt too predictable.
5. Salem's Lot - Why? Let it go. Out of the 3 versions I've watched it felt like they tried to pack too much into a film introducing characters that you really don't care about.
6. It's What's Inside** - Again, another one that might not be horror, felt like horror to me.
6. Vampyros Lesbos
7. Nightmare Castle
8. The House that Screamed
9. The Wizard of Gore - feel like Bateman really oversold how great this movie was in Juno.
10. Lady Dracula
11. The Revenge of Frankenstein
12. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice - Again why?
13. Azrael
14. Mr. Crocket - I hope they stop making the children show into a horror movie until someone can figure out how to do it right.
15. The Werewolf vs. the Vampire Woman
00. The Terror - Season 1, not going to number it, but I liked it.
16. Devil Doll - Stupidly funny.
17. In a Glass Cage - So...yeah, that was a watch.
18 The Kiss of the Vampire - I think this was the movie where a person made the sign of the cross via their blood, so that was unique, in another funny movie (not that they intended it).
19. Hangover Square - While I didn't enjoy most of it, what a beautiful ending, though still had a dumb last line.
20. Lust of the Vampire - Well done.
21. The Spiral Staircase - I know I called it stupidly funny, but from 16 to here, it was a nice run of movies.
22. Dr. Terror's House of Horrors - I mean, the payoff was nice, I guess.
23. The Horrible Dr. Hichcock - They weren't wrong, he sucked.
24. Kill, Baby, Kill
25. The Student of Prague (1926)
26. Alien: Romulus - Facehuggers show up at the 40 minute mark, full grown alien shows up at like the 80 minute mark, such a boring movie with a few cool minutes spliced in.
27. V/H/S Beyond - It's beyond me why I keep watching these. I think the first had enough segments that were okay, I figured at worst with my low attention span, if I don't like one, wait for the next, but I just don't care for any of them. I like there's a throughline, but even then.
28. Stream - I know horror movies always do this with the billed cast, but I was so pissed when Tim Curry was essentially just there for the closing credits along with Bill Moseley. Combs and Harris were in it for a lot, shit not a horror guy, but I like Tim Reid from Sister Sister of all things, I guess he was in the made for TV IT I saw at age 6 that made me afraid of clowns for life, and most drain based things, wasn't a good hygiene year for me).
29. The Night Strangler - Darren McGavin crushed it.
30. Bagman - I liked it, and I didn't, felt it was missing something.
31. House of Dark Shadows - Feel like my memories of watching my mom watch the tv show didn't have me caught up with who was who.
32. Shock - I hate this genre of people not being believed, frustrates me so much.
33. The Abominable Snowman
34. The Plague of Zombies
35. Hellboy: The Crooked Man - They're still making these? Feel like it could have been a lot better.
36. Never Let Go - Felt like the village, but they also made it seem like something supernatural may have been happening outside of they went crazy, still not sure what to think of it.
37. Don't Deliver us from Evil - Fuck me, I didn't want to google to see if they actually killed the bird in the one scene. And that was based on the same book or real life case from the later Peter Jackson movie Heavenly Creatures? Maybe I don't want to look further into it.
38. The Substance - At a runtime of 140, I feel like something could have been trimmed off (not like that, Sparkles, you look great), but wow, I was engrossed the entire time, emphasis on grossed.
39. Street Trash - Felt like a Troma movie (probably was), that said, surprised the lead Mike Lackey wasn't in anything after that. That said, the other standout for me was the doorman, and I see he has been a working actor since.
40. Terrifier 3 - I remember when the 2nd came out after people caught wind of the first, all i heard was how gory it was, i remember watching the 1st and thinking of it as more of a stalker movie in the vein of mikey myers (after watching the first I wanted to know more and ended up seeing he appared in All hallow's eve, yeah, baby sitter slasher movie)
41. Carvred - Meh, hulu stupid, as most of them on the platform are, good way to start the day.
42. Hold Your Breath - Sarah Paulson as the lead, kudos, it's just another remake of a remake of a remake of the wind from the 20s. Acting is good in it, behind, cousin.
43. Lisa and the Devil, I feel like when i first started watching this, there was confusion over this movie and different versions, all I know is it wasn't great.
44. Goodnight, Mommy, the comments don't care for the movie, but it certainly left me feeling uneasy throughout.
45. Haze - i started my day with this, i may need to rewatch.

Also watched Suddenly in the Dark and Don't Move, since that.
