Years ago, my wife and I went to a Dodgers/Giants game at Chavez Ravine. This was in the Bonds years.

Behind us, some tatted-up gangbanger (redundant for Dodger fans) kept screaming “Steroids is bad!” every inning. At some point, my wife turned around and said “Excuse me, it’s ‘Steroids are bad’“

I turned to her and said “Can we not correct the gangbanger’s grammar? I don’t really want to die today”

Luckily, she stopped and he didn’t understand he was being mocked, so I lived through it.

I’d say you were lucky, but odds were pretty high that a Dodgers fan would be too dumb to realize he’s being mocked.

You wife was lucky though, I doubt many Dodgers fans have any problem hitting women.

Remember going to a baseball game with a group of 4 or 5 people.
We were sitting near some Red Sox fans.
They were talking some kind a shit (in fun) Forgot what & how it actually got started.
Now back then the Red Sox were definitely better than the Mariners so they definitely had the upper hand LOL.
But we bantered back & forth with each other throughout the whole game.
Actually made the whole game more fun. We laughed & talked shit back & forth the whole game.
After we lost. They laughed & told us we were good sports. LOL & enjoyed the evening with us.
They said a lot of places they go get all crazy like this video basically. Like these fans couldnt have fun at a baseball game.
Wished more people would be more like us (a scary thought actually)
Now I am not a huge baseball fan in general, but if I am going to any sports area. Why would I want to go to be angry? It should be for enjoyment.

Now I get why Philly fans wouldnt understand this. They literally make movies on these fans wanting to be miserable :happy:
but to all other cities of sports fans. This is how I feel people should enter with the mindset of.
Sitting near fans of the other team can make the whole evening more interesting. if you dont get overly serious. (excluding Eagle fans) :heh:

Went to many, many games at Chavez wearing Padres shit. My UPS account guy used to give me tons of tickets right down the 3rd base line. I've sat out in the outfield pavilion and got hammered with East LA Dodgers fans, me wearing Padres shit and nicely giving them shit right back. I've been to every NL West ballpark wearing Padres shit. Never, not even once have I felt uncomfortable except at Oracle Park where it was a massive buzzkill and I left early after paying $45 for a shitty ticket and had to sit around a bunch of superior homos pretending to be baseball fans and running their drunken mouth because they had strength in numbers. That was with Padres shit on and they weren't even playing them. Go into Oracle wearing Dodger blue and they're playing the Dodgers and you're begging to get stabbed to death.
