Happy COVID Anniversary morning

I remember the last day we were in the office before we sent everyone home for COVID, the management team all stayed late for drinks and we were making bets about how long we’d be remote before going back to the office. I think I said 60 days. The longest was our CEO who guessed six months. Six months came and went and then later the company got sold. Most of us got new jobs either because of the sale or because we didn’t like the new ownership. A few months later, everyone who was still with the new ownership from our company got let go (I had moved on a few months earlier). No one ever went back to that office from the day we vacated for COVID (March 17, 2020).
Thankfully, the president of my company has always been firmly in the "like hell we're going to shut down" camp and I personally have my own office in a sparsely-populated building (at that time) so there was absolutely no change in work schedule or location for me. I didn't wear a mask at any point during my workday unless I wanted to (and I didn't) throughout the entirety of the "pandemic". The only thing that changed (my initiative) was that I regularly used disinfectant wipes on common-touch objects like door handles and sink faucet handles.

I remember my manager at the time telling us to be prepared to not ever come back to the office. We were told it was going to be a week or two, maybe a month.

Still at the same company.

Maybe they shouldn’t have made senior citizens with COVID share living space with other seniors at that time. Just a thought
hindsight's a bitch sometimes, Kevin

danny dimes to the colts, look out afc s

I personally loved working from home, but 2 yrs was a but long. I like my hybrid work from home schedule I am allowed to maintain now. It's awesome.

My daughter was a Senior in high school. Ironically today is her birthday. Living in Texas we were able to have their graduation ceremony outdoors in our multi million dollar football stadium. But families had to sit 6 feet apart (at an outdoor stadium) LOL

Meh. I was watching numbers big time at the onset of COVID, and I'm not sure we can lay that -- or taking kids out of school -- on hindsight. Those trends became apparent pretty quickly.

I'm not saying I think it was some nefarious plot. I tend to lean towards the simplest answers, which in this case is ineptitude.

That's how my wife's grandma went out. That said, she was one of the most stubborn people I've ever met and was more than ready to check out of this planet, so she rode the DGAF attitude straight to the grave. And she wasn't the only one. A healthy percentage of elderly who succumbed to COVID wanted to.

Right on! I'm going to have them inject it into my dick!

Hi folks. Finally got a break and down with work so now I can post

Did anyone else know about how you can thaw frozen meat in 30 min or less simply by placing it between the bottoms of two pans or pots?

Magic.

whatever you say, Kevin.

I think you got lucky...or you don't leave your house.
Didn’t work from home 1 day. Lived my normal life like IMO everyone should’ve.
