He was more "friendly" during the Northern Trust this year for sure... Talkative and hell, he even helped me find a ball because he knew where it was and I didn't...

Sure was... I would have been screwed I couldn't find the ball... It was deep into the rough.. The PGA radio guy even mentioned how I "lost it"... He was trying to help me find it as well...

Needless to say I wanted to knock that guy out... That's the last damn time I trust the shotlink guys that they knew where the ball went

Apparently it stems from him giving interviews and talking shit on the community. People that grew up with him and went to school with him at MHS & KSU say his depiction is "inaccurate". I know this town didn't hold that grudge against his Son though. Lots of Tiger fans around here still today.

People like a redemption story. And by accounts he's mellowed and become more humble (comparatively to old tiger) as the trials of having such a taxing swing have wrecked his body and caused a drug addiction he's had to overcome. Most people would have given up and sat on their massive fortune. But he is still pushing himself. It's admirable for someone who has nothing to prove to do so anyway.
