Happy Thursday

Sounds like the wife might have to work 12 hour floating shifts from the 16th to the 20th or possibly 24th. The troopers are doing it already, just because the inauguration is happening. Supposedly the FBI has tips that violence is going to happen at state legislatures all over the country.
I noticed that last night the state supreme court had 3 cruisers parked around it. They had 3 during the rioting, but knocked out down to 1-2 since then.

This reminds me. Need to find out if my dietary disability gets me higher up on the list with my pre-existing condition!

We're registered for vaccines. Wife is actually in the next phase of eligibility, due to having a stroke. I'm in with gen pop. My in-laws and parents are also registered. We'll see when they start rolling out to people beyond the front line workers and nursing home types.
Mr. Kobe got his 2nd dose yesterday. One step closer to freedom.

I am apparently considered an essential worker, so I might be able to get mine sooner than I thought.

You're going to have half of the troopers from each post I believe as well starting this Saturday

Which means double time and a half for 12hrs on the holiday for them. Glad our tax money is used so wisely.

As long as they don't start blocking streets off to get into the city again...

I thought it was a typo when I read 100 degree increase in Siberia
Not exactly in Siberia.

"Specifically, temperatures high in the stratosphere above Siberia. In the first week of January, they increased from about minus 92 degrees Fahrenheit to 8 degrees Fahrenheit."

I wouldn't say that what's going on 30+ miles over my head right now is what's going on "in Ohio."

Fuckin' jerk.

I seem to recall we had some dangerously low temps around that time here. I don't remember if we had a lot of snow
I remember there was a nearly two-week stretch where the high here was negative sixteen. I had a dog that insisted on being walked at the time. That sucked balls. So cold at night the air would freeze your nose hairs when you inhaled. Poor dog would start limping after a few minutes outside and I'd have to carry him.

^^Has a true dietary condition. He's currently about a biscuit away from morphing into Pablo Sandoval.

Pablo actually might be skinnier than him right now
