Harbaugh extension coming soon

So Michigan is offering to cut his pay in half and people are actually upset that he is looking for another job? Of your job offered you half the pay would you just take it and say “this is fine”?

No, but comparing the salaries of average people and the multi million dollar salary of a football coach isn’t very sound. 4 million a year if more than a lot of people will make in a lifetime. If an average guy had his salary cut in half, he’s losing his house
 
I could see giving Harbaugh an extension if he'd ever accomplished ANYTHING at Michigan but this is just retarded. What's going to happen is the truth will finally dawn on the Wolverine faithful and then it's going to cost them another ass load of money to run this guy off. Seriously, I respect Michigan but this is just asking for the worst to happen.

A lot of these schools need to get back to making coaches produce results before giving them the guaranteed payouts.

I'm more annoyed that they're letting it drag out. It should have been, "Harbaugh, we don't want to fire you. Here's the offer, we can discuss minor changes that you want to negotiate. If you're not fine with that, bye". We're already putting more faith in him than most schools would have because of his performance, so we should be the ones with all the balls in our court. Instead, we're acting still like Harbaugh is as desirable to other teams as he was 6 years ago.

As long as we can fire him next year without a huge buyout, I'm OK with it. Based on what happened at Texas this is a bad year to be shuffling things around. I also don't want to fire Harbaugh, miss out on the one-ish big name out there and then be screwed.

Dude, he has that share of a division title that he lost the tie breaker game to Ohio State by like 40 where he was the higher ranked team, one foot in the playoffs and was favored.
