Has anybody ever improved as much as Joe Burrow?

Browns fans cracking me up. Just jump over to Bengals and make it official. Lolol

Pfft, never.

I want Stafford to win a ring. I'm a bit conflicted because OBJ is a dirtbag and pulling for any LA franchise just feels dirty. But, I did the same thing when I rooted for Kershaw to get a WS ring.

One game, anything can happen!

My concern would be for the long term. I think the Titans sacked him 9 times. Can't have your QB take those hits every week. Surely, that will be a major point of emphasis in the offseason for Cincy.
They have to fix the o-line for sure. Taking Chase instead of an o-lineman last year turned out to be a genius move though. They got this far with a shit o-line. That should absolutely be the focus of the off season though

Yeah, i remember all the "experts" ripping Cincy for that move. Burrow had just gotten injured the season prior and they weren't upgrading his protection with their first pick. A lot of experts also ripped into LAR for their policy of buying proven players now and dishing out draft picks.

Seems to have worked out pretty well for each team...for this season at least.

It is crazy expensive to upgrade the OL through free agency. But when you have a stud QB and stud WR on rookie deals, you can do it. Dangle that 31 or 32 pick out there as well.

Didn't know this, but if Burrow wins the SB he will be the first QB to win the Natty, Heisman and SB.

Yep. Teams with young QBs have that rookie contract window to really upgrade the rest of their squad with quality before worrying about salary cap hell. Gotta strike while the iron is hot. If the QB pans out, then you gotta make decisions on who else to keep and who to let walk.

Rams need to win now while the stadium is still new. LA is the biggest fair weather market in sports. Look at USC’s attendance this year. If they don’t win, the fans won’t be there

I predict Vegas will go through the same issues. Too many other things you can do in each city to distract fans from paying high ticket costs to watch mediocre-to-bad teams. If you're a winner, its great. If not, you're an afterthought.

Too many teams swing and miss in the draft.

Vegas will be fine. It’ll be a destination game for road teams at the very least. Nobody in the history of time has ever wanted to go to LA to watch their team play a road game and have to sit next to a bunch of losers with neck tats

Wut?

The Rose Bowl begs to differ.

The UGA fans I know that made the trip all had the same thoughts of “it’s cool we’re going to a playoff game, but it sucks it’s in LA.”

Rose Bowl prevented too many true NCGs before the BCS to have my respect

Also, Rose Bowl technically wouldn’t be road game for either team

Well they just hired Josh freaking McDaniels so...

A huge part of the allure for the Rose Bowl was that it was a destination spot for fans to escape the bitter winters in the midwest and go to Pasadena. Frankly, it doesn't matter what time of year it is. Fans from Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Detroit, etc would happily take a weekend vacation in LA. It's definitely a destination spot.

Getting the locals to show up and support the home team when they're not winning championships, however, is a trickier draw in LA.

Burrow always had the physical gifts, just needed to find the right system in college. Incredible run with Cincy this season. Gotta be concerned with how bad that O-line is though.

If we were just talking about most improved just by stats then sure but he always had the skillset at QB. I mean he was a 4 star coming out of HS, challenge Haskins (the 2018 Heismen runner-up) for the starting spot and played solid season at 2018 LSU on a offense that has been limited in the pass decade prior to 2019. I wouldn't say Burrow was the most improved but maybe the most underrated

Yeah he was pretty damn good coming out of high school. Tough kid that doesn't get frazzled. You can't coach that. Either you have it or you don't. He's got it. He had it before he came to LSU.
