Have to cancel our Christmas Eve party.

I lost 20lbs after my appendix ruptured.

When I say I had zero appetite I mean I had ZERO appetite. Absolutely nothing for days but medicines (NyQuil, melatonin etc). But I was thirsty. Lots of water, Gatorade and vitamin water. But it was torture because I was so out of it I couldn’t bring myself to even sit up and grab the water bottle 2 feet from me to take a drink, I’d lay there for hours hallucinating thinking about sitting up and getting a drink and just could not f’ing do it. Then hours later when I finally mustered up the will to do it it was the best water ever.

Early on in the pandemic blood type was briefly mentioned as a contributing factor for moderate/severe symptom development. IIRC type A was the most hammered type, but the information was sketchy, based on small sample sizes, and incomplete. I have no idea if that line of thought was ever studied rigorously as a factor or if there was really anything to it when the sample sizes were increased. The CDC tracked it in their demographics at one point but I have no idea if they still are.
I'm A- and my kid is O-. She got COVID back in August, probably two weeks into the school year (her school has been back full time, masks optional, since the start of the 2020 school year). She had a low grade fever for two days (99/100.1) and then was bouncing off the walls...even put mileage in from day-3 onward as she's on the varsity XC team. I was her caretaker, and did not get it myself. If I've had it since the onset, I was completely asymptomatic.

I'm glad you are feeling better.

it's weird who gets symptoms and who doesn't, but I don't think it has much (if anything) to do with your bloodtype, at least according to the study.

What the fuck does any of this have to do with anything I said. Fuck off already with your constant blabbering, as if YOU fucking have all the answers. Stfu
Well, my first post had plenty to do with what you said, but all I got was a "whatever dude".

I'm sorry your friend is struggling, and even more sorry that he's hospitalized for the reasons I've stated, but no matter what I say, you'll just take it as politicized and lose your shit, so...I guess I will say no more.

My son got it with moderate symptoms and was at home for three weeks. My DIL was his caregiver and spent most of her time in the bedroom with him. Neither her nor their kids ever exhibited any symptoms or tested positive. Fast forward a year to the delta variant and the roles reversed with the same outcome. Oh, to be young, healthy and in love ...

Im losing my shit? My point was, if you could read anything about covid without snapping into king dickhead mode, was it affects everyone differently. that was it. fuck dude.

Right, but MY point was that the "treatment" or hospital protocols are the same. THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

no one but him is making it "political" and the only reason he thinks that is because of some conspiracy he is buying into.

what do you want the protocols to be? They are keeping the patients from getting worse or from dying.

Why do you have to mention that, in order for me to speak of it?
It had nothing to do with what I said, and this has been your standard type of response to anything covid.
