It’s not a simple yes or no. I know, I know….here we go….but stay with me.
All a vaccine does is gear the body to build immunities. It doesn’t prevent contraction and even spreading. But, when enough people have gotten vaccinated and you can zero in on cases adequately (as they were able to do with smallpox) you take it to…..I don’t know what term to use….but eradicated doesn’t feel right. But you take it out or being a serious issue.
You called out MMR….what was happening in schools in some areas right before the pandemic with measles? It was making a comeback as enough parents were refusing the vaccine. It was out there and started finding a base of hosts.
