Slinkette 1 is a really sweet girl, but her entire group of friends that she'd had since 2nd/3rd grade just turned on her for no reason and did some really mean shit. There was one ring-leader, so to speak, and she turned the group against her.

Fortunately, she got through it and has a much better group of friends these days.

Good for her. I don't know what happens at that age? I get they are trying to discover who they are and their identities change with the wind but the judgement and vindictiveness? I don't get that

Yeah they’re all great kids. Team has been together over a year (that’s like 5 seasons of flag). But it wasn’t just the other football kids who “couldn’t make it”. The mom told me she invited other kids who didn’t show either.

Then on top of that his own dad didn’t show up until the end because he was cutting the lawn.

Maybe the kid is total dick off the field idk.

My daughter is part of a group they call “The 6 homies.” By the end of the year it was the 13 homies mostly due to insecure mothers having meetings with the principal talking about how their kids felt left out of this group of girls. So half the group is there because their moms and the school principle forced it.

One day that shit will all come crashing down and I feel bad for the kids who will suffer from it.

Having a son who is on the spectrum that was always a tough experience as a parent. On one hand you want your kid to have a birthday party, but on the other you worry about who will show up and if they are going to be disappointed

Same exact thing happened to me. Made me hate people.

My daughter has already experienced it. The next door neighbor would be her best friend in the world one day then ghosting her and being mean the next when her other friends were around. And my daughter is the sweetest kid in the world - super tender hearted. Her twin brother is fucking vicious though so being around him and me is helping her ice her veins a little bit and learning how to tell people to fuck off is getting easier for her.

Gottdamn squirrel broke my big maple tree today. About 30ft long, 10" diameter branch just broke off lying on the ground. One end is still attached to the tree 20 feet off the ground. Too damn hot to start cleaning it up.
