To all you Alliance homers who were crying in your beer when the SEC grabbed OU and TX ... fuck off. As we stated over and over ... any of the conferences would have done the same thing if TX and OU called them. Now you have something even worse - an official alliance to work together while two schools from one conference were getting picked off by an alliance member. At least the SEC didn't have an official alliance with B12 when it bent them over the couch and went in dry.

i made this post before i read that UCLA and USC were leaving for the Big Ten, so lol @ me at that

but also LOL @ the Pac-12

and lol @ college sports. if its going to be like this, then i would rather watch pro sports. Better athletes. The only reason to watch college sports was for passionate regional rivalries, tradition and pageantry. regional rivalries + tradition are dead, so what's the point?

Honestly NIL and the portal are killing it for me.

It’s sad really what is happening.

You mean when TEXAS grabbed the SEC by the waist as aggy objected

I think this ends with 24 team mega conferences, for the B1G and SEC. Which will then be split into 3 sub-divisions:

B1G: pacific division, midwest, east
SEC: southwest, southeast, atlantic coast

oh wait...

Yeah, the talent getting paid and being able to transfer like every other college kid is really horrible.

Let's think through this.

With 16, we can have a 3-6 ... 3 set teams, play each team every other year. If you add 6 more teams, you now have the same thing but you play each team every 3 years. That would make me inclined for a 22 team conference.

That means the SEC needs to add 6 - Miami, FSU, Clemson, UNC, Duke, NC State.

Or, FSU, Clemson, OkSU, Kansas, UNC, Duke. That adds 2 out West, and also fattens up your hoops, and adds 2 Vandy level teams for cupcake wins. Can't all be great teams. Kansas is just 2 hours west of Missouri and a 5 hour drive from OU, and 4 hours from OkSU.

No creating an environment where there is no salary cap and unlimited free agency is ruining the sport. Do that in any professional league and it would kill its competitiveness also. They can pay the players and the players can transfer but there need to be restrictions. If you take money then you should be under contract.

It’s all above board now. “Boosters” have been throwing money at kids for generations.

I’m all for these kids fucking over adults that give them money.
