And maybe the hind roasts...pretty much all anyone with experience with road killed deer would take to begin with. But yeah....it's not only the initial strike that messes them up....it's the flipping and rolling for several yards later with sharp broken bones making minced meat with the innards that is the problem...The inner back straps still would have been good. Not much of an effort to get them out.
