Man, I cant believe it's nearing late September and it's a Saturday and the day feels so hollow. I am looking at the clock thinking, now would be the time to be getting excited for a kick at 12:30 or maybe a 5:30 kick. Something. But here we are, another week of Big12 vs some other D2 teams.

Good for all those playing today able to figure it out. But damn it's hollow compared to what would be a Saturday full of games.

Today the only thing that looks just a little exciting is that Miami game. Thank God it isn't on the ACC Network.

The games last saturday were some of the worst games on a "CFB Saturday" I've ever seen. Most not even worth watching, except for the deprived state of live sports we're all in. This weekend should be better but still won't feel right. I'm not even sure it will feel right when Michigan takes the field in empty stadiums come october.

How can you pretend to be a fan of football if you are worried about safety? Yes, that is being a pussy living your life in fear because of this virus. I do feel schools are idiotically are cancelling games because of optics, not science nor for caring about the real safety of the players. you can be a fan and be worried about safety. safety on the field like dont drop your head. no head to head contact. dont pop up under a chin strap.

fear and caution are 2 different things. i dont fear the virus i wouldnt still be at work every day if i did.

and it isnt just about the players. I know most will come out of having it fine. not all but most. but there is also coaches, refs, family and other people who are older and more at risk who could be exposed.

So don't play. Don't coach. Don't go to a game. These are simply just options, that is the bare minimum request in this entire thing. Just give an option to play or not. Give a choice. You'll be amazed at how many people aren't hiding under their beds because of this virus.

And if these higher ups want to preach player safety as a concern to stopping the season, then if they are really serious they'd just end football.

Because now, like in the B1G instance, they were so concerned about player safety, but now that they restarted, they've given their teams 8 straight weeks, with no BYE weeks, and last I knew CTE and other injuries were still a very real possibility while playing football. But sure, player safety.
