HooplaNation's 2023 CFB Preseason Rankings - Discussion Thread

Everyone has Georgia as #1 - Deserved and Logical.

I have Michigan #1 - 28% Logical - 72% Homer. Georgia deserves the #1 spot until someone beats them, but the homer in me was too strong.
Reviewing the picks I was very surprised at the number of folks with Michigan ranked so high

We have many starters returning, but honestly pre season polls are worthless. Michigan's schedule means they can not lose a game to make it to the playoffs.

They don't have to go to Kinnick, they dodged seeing pink.

UM went into Kinnick and beat Iowa 27-14 like 9-10 months ago, dude.
It’s not playing Iowa that bugs me, but we should have one quality out-of-conference game. I apologize, I didn’t even know the name of the stadium Iowa play in, I thought it was a cornfield somewhere 🌽.

So did (4-8) Nebraska with an interim coach. LOL

They did Iowa a favor. Iowa wouldn't have wanted to play Michigan a 2nd time. Iowa would have gotten a bowl game they didn't deserve and lose, so Iowa would have been 7-7 instead of 8-5.

Iowa should be a top 10 team, but I won't put them Top 15 until that offense proves they are much better.

Should play Notre Dame every year, both schools had it right for years, great great series.
