HooplaNation's 2023 CFB Week 8 Rankings - Discussion Thread

They always have Oklahoma kick at that time.

As a fan watching on TV, I've learned to love it, because most good games are coming up and I already know the outcome.
If I were going to the games, fuck that.

Kansas next week is 11am. That makes 4 in a row for OU.

Between constant noon kicks, Peacock, and evidently 9 B1G Friday games next year, corporate interference in CFB is becoming super neat.
Becoming?

I dropped my season tickets in 2019 when most of the games were at 7:30pm starts. That shit got old quick.

Oh, fear not. You're joining the Big Ten. I hope you like 9am breakfast kickoffs!

Sure. Works great for road games.
I'm guessing we still see quite a few late night home games though.

If they were smart UW and Oregon would have added stipulations about added money on late night games until the next TV deal and full share.

Even a 5pm Pacific kickoff sucks for fans. Having those and knowing the rest of the conference will earn the extra money over what would be a less seen 12:30p/3:30p kick in a crowded time slot while the fans suffer for no added money for those teams will be pretty lame.
