And this makes him the #8 goat?

OK, homer.
I wouldn't put him that high, but he was a damn good coach. Arguably the best coach in the history of two programs. The homer accusations are just painfully pathetic and cringeworthy

I would have a hard time putting Spurrier in my top 25, let alone top 8

Is this only for FBS coaches only? Because if this is for all of CFB Larry Kerhres (Mount Union) has everyone beat. 27 seasons.

-332-24-3 record
-.929 winning percentage (best ever)
-11 national titles (most ever)
-21 unbeaten regular seasons (most ever)
-23 conference crowns (most ever)
-55 consecutive wins (most ever)

I was asked about this. No, it isn't just a FBS level coaches, they were just the ones who were nominated. I also pointed out that if there was one from FCS or any other division, they were being compared to the top coaches in FBS level of all-time. I don't think anybody suggested Kerhres nor did anyone correct me when I showed that he wasn't on the list. I had 2 threads that spanned 8 days where one could have fixed it.

I'd be curious about your top 25 then.

Joe Pa should be up there, but as a poster said before, I couldn't do it and not feel like immediately needed a shower.

Again

This makes Spurrier #8 goat?

LMFAO!!!
It was just my gut reaction. Like I said previous numerous times, I didn't vote for Joe Pa, but I do think he is up there, but the scandals all just make me feel gross.

I also didn't use Wiki, and thought he had 2, maybe 3 Nattys (but Wiki says one), so I'll admit that I'd move him out and replace him with Osbourne.

Here is the final bracket. "Saban v Warner" and "Robinson v Devaney" threads will start this weekend.

Osborne and Switzer could meet in the quarterfinals. Swinney could possibly play spoiler in that matchup though.

That should be a land slide. Osborne didn't win shit until after Switzer left.

Switzer left after Osborne went (4-4) in the last 8.

He knew Osborne was building a beast in Lincoln and selling fried chicken in Norman was his best option going forward.

Tough list to pick 8 from.

I went (In Order)
1. Saban
2. Bear
3. Hayes
4. Bowden
5. Switzer
6. Dabo
7. Meyer
8. Spurrier

Dabo is at the same level at Saban since the CFB playoffs begun, Meyer and Spurrier won at two different schools which bumps them up, and Bowden a lot of games at a school that has had just a good year or two since he left.
This post proves... opinions can be wrong.

I don't even know where to start, but here goes.

Switzer opened up the series with Osborne with 5 wins in a row and ended the series with a 4-1 record vs Osborne.

During that last stretch, Oklahoma won the NC.
Does Barry Switzer look like he wants to run away and hide.??? You decided.

Osborne won 3 in a row against Switzer prior to Switzer running off 4 straight.
Osborne won the last matchup causing Barry to go the Fried Chicken Restaurant route.

They were (4-4) in their last 8 years.

Don't let facts get in the way.

I mentioned Kerhes in at least thread on this topic. When I didn't get a response I just figured it was FBS only. But since it's for all coaches kinda imcomplete without possibly the most accomplished coach in all of CFB. Doesn't matter though. When most people think about CFB isn't only about the FBS teams.

I will do this. I will do one more poll. I will do one for seeds 13-16 for just a few days. You did suggest him and I forgot to add him.

Hey thanks. He won't get very far in voting. But at least he's mentioned.

Coaches that own another coach don’t lose 3 in a row to that coach at any point, and why am I surprised that it’s Oklahoma fans that need to be told head to head isn’t the end all be all.
