HooplaNation's Preseason Rankings - Discussion Thread

UT will get ranked around 15-21..

But I rather not get ranked.. I'm all for ou to be inside the top 10.. seeing them lose to an unranked Nebraska at home will be good for my buzz that day
Come on, man! I want Texas to roll Alabama by 3 touchdowns and Oklahoma strutting into the Cotton Bowl with both teams undefeated so we can have a game between two top 5 teams. The $hit talk on here would be biblical.

I'd like to see the reasoning for anyone leaving an 11 win P5 team that returns nearly everyone off their ballots. Stuck on names. Can't wait to see the reasoning for leaving Wake Forest off your polls.

And why do the same retards need to be reminded every year about keeping discussion and incomplete polls in the discussion thread

Looking at their schedule, I think 8-4 is probably the most likely outcome. That might be enough to get them ranked in the back half of top 25. They will be fun to watch, but the defense is still suspect. I wish they were on ND's schedule this year.

there is zero reason to have NC State ranked #10 and Wake Forest unranked. None.

I forgot Iowa in my rankings. The are a top 20 team but not sure where to out them and to lazy to update. I will stick them in after week 1.

Please don’t put Alabama #1. We never win the Natty when we start #1. This will be on paper one of Sabans best teams we don’t need the #1 jinx on our back.

So far, during the CFP Era, Alabama is the only team to be #1 in AP Preseason and Final Poll.

I think they are probably a 10 win team. I don't think there's much difference as far as a power rating, but Wake has a harder schedule IMO, which leads them to a couple more losses. They also return 17 starters, from a team that finished top 20.

Yeah that was in 2017….when we didn’t deserve to be in the playoff but got in because we were the tallest midget for the 4th spot.

lmfao, Wake and NCSU essentially have the same schedule except Wake gets Clemson at home and travels to Vandy, while NCSU travels to Clemson and hosts Texas Tech.

again, there's no justification in ranking NCSU in the top 10, while Wake being unranked. If anything, both teams should be unranked. and Wake Forest returns 14 starters from a team that finished in the top 15.

We'll see what happens. I think both lose to Clemson, no matter the location. Then Wake has road games at FSU, NC State and UL. I could see both going 9-3, also. I don't think ranking NC State at 10 is that far off from where they will be. Probably lower on Wake than most.

Everyone is picking Clemson in the top 10 but they were pretty bad last year and lost all their coordinators. I just don’t see it.
Who do you see in the ACC giving them a real run? For all the doom and gloom a season ago, they still went 10-3 with one of those losses to eventual champion UGA 10-3.

This season they don't have UGA on the schedule.. they do play ND later in the season. Clemson being projected to finish inside the top 10 isn't a bad play.
