HooplaNation's Preseason Rankings - Discussion Thread

They're losing a 5th year guy who has gotten better each season. Its true they've had some good qbs over the years (Skinner, Wolford, Newman). But its pretty optimistic to think a guy with little to no experience is going to step in and put up the season Hartman had last year. Their defense was up and down last year and was abysmal is some games. They need pretty similar production from the qb spot to stay in the top 25
We’ll see, but that offense as a whole returned nearly everyone. I still think they’re gonna put up points regardless

They'll still put up some points. But I have a hard time thinking they're gonna average 40 ppg. And they needed that 40 ppg several times last year. They gave up more than 40 5 times last year. Thankfully for them, they have an easy start to the season to break in the guy with VMI, Vandy, and Liberty (who knows if they'll have a drop off this year after losing their qb). Then its right into clemson, fsu, and army (who they gave up 56 to last year).

I see a 5-1 start there. Zero reason to expect FSU to be a threat since their defense held them in check pretty easily last year. I’m gonna see the backup play before I write them off. When is the last time Wake had a bad QB? I trust Clawson will have the backup ready

I'm not saying he's going to be bad. But Hartman was a great qb for them. There's a difference between good and Hartman. Just being good will be a step back.

It will be, but I think the rest of the offense is really good too, and I expect a better defense this year. Their schedule isn’t a murderers row. Could easily see another 10 win season

Nebraska = Bama

Phil Parker got Iowa in the Top 50!

Holy shit, Tim Beck is still an offensive coordinator and is considered to be in a top 10 duo?

I like that I can just post the spreadsheet on here with Google Sheets. I wish I could resize it, but oh well. On the bottom are the tabs and you can see the votes.

The preview link in the OP will not be updated.

Why are "others receiving votes" not populated?

The Top 25 is automatically copied from the voting page. I won't be typing in the Top 25 boxes. I have to type in the "others receiving votes", which I will do only for the final poll.
