Morning gang, another hot and humid day here in MN

Lawn bowling team lost last night, off to 0-3 start. Fun game though, really back and forth, we also let a 9 year old play which didn't really hurt us, but didn't really help us, although he did score a point for us

Heating up here too, supposed to be upper 80s or 90s for the next 2 weeks.

I need to get to the store and get some wasp and hornet killer. Got a big wasp nest on my garage, and there's a few holes at the baseball field where some hornets have taken up residence.

Mid 80s today as well.

71 right now

morning

need to buy a new mower...

do I really need self-propelled? I just feel like that's just one more thing to break

It's not a big deal if it does break, it just becomes a fully propelled mower if it does.

Get a reel mower

Muggy here today also. Got a little bit of rain but definitely need more. According to the weather dude we are about 6 inches below normal for rainfall

Well, it would depend on the elevation of the yard? I live on the side of a hill so self propelled is the only way I want to go. My neighbor across the street has a nice flat yard so his push mower is just fine. he gets a little bit of a workout when he cuts the grass.

So we’ve had a shit load of rain the past week and a half. Going to be 105 today with the heat index. Super humid.

fun morning, walked too close wasp nest laying near train tracks, didn't see it until it was too late and me and murray got stung several times

Murray finally is laying down, but he was pretty freaked out for a bit there

Pretty selfish taking your dog while looking for transients by the RR tracks

Nice and cool here. Think it's only going to be 106 today. Dry as fuck, so my swamp cooler has the house at 67 this morning. The glare I got from.my daughter in a thick robe and house slippers was delightful.

I have some kind of nest growing under my roof that I can’t see. Sprayed in the crack 4 straight days. At least 10 wasps came out and died each time

I am trying to find some kind of herbicide application that will kill weeds but not harm plants. I have a patch of pachysandra that has an infestation of weeds

any suggestions?

Quit being a pussy and pull them by hand.

Haha too many and its intertwined with the plants
You can try just spraying the leaves of the weeds with a mix of dish soap and vinegar. I've used this (including the salt) in sidewalk weeds and in mulch beds away from where the plants I want to keep are growing, and it's worked well. I would be concerned that the salt could potentially work its way into the root system and damage or kill the plants you're trying to keep here.

Just got through Dodger's registration for my alma mater. See if Bossy tries to transfer there after 1st semester. As twins, not sure they'll be separated as they will be starting next week. 3 kids in Indiana & 2 in Ohio. Might be 4 to 1 2nd semester.
