This is what I'm thinking. If the offense isn’t better we will see Hawkins at qb by halftime this week. It has to happen, you have to have a guy that can run to help out this horrible oline.
Which is surprising. That has been one of OU's most consistent and steady positions. I don't think people realize how good they were during the Mayfield, Murray and Hurts days. While those three could tuck it and go when needed, they were also protected well when a completion was really needed. JMO.If the offense isn’t better we will see Hawkins at qb by halftime this week. Spencer Rattler 2.0? Amazing considering everyone in the Country wanted JFA.This is what I'm thinking.
Arnold has not been impressive at all. Zero Zilch Nada. Not one time.
Let's assume for a minute that Jackson Arnold isn't a total bust. He just needs more time than we hoped it would take. The problem is Mommie is likely to come pick him up in the station wagon, kiss his boo boo, take him to Dairy Queen for some ice cream and then go find someone who really appreciates him. I fucking hate this transfer BS that has infested college football. I was raised in an age when you toughed stuff out and made the best of a bad situation. Now it's a Cut-and-Run generation. You just know Venables is scared to mess with the kid's head for that reason. If you want to fix the O problem, look at getting rid of Littrell. Dude runs the ball every series on first down. He did it 8 times out of 9 series yesterday. He couldn't coach a dog to scratch.Spencer Rattler 2.0? Amazing considering everyone in the Country wanted JFA.
Was he before or after Gary Gibbs and/or Howard Schnellenberger? It reminded me a lot of a John Blake Offense.
