Houston 0 Oklahoma 7

OU is going to have a rough year. As of right now unless they turn a corner, 6-6.

Maybe 5-7.

OU did not score a touchdown or field goal in the 2nd half. This offense is offensive! Complete 180 of the way things used to be. Guess I'd rather win this way than 55-51 but still some imagination in the offese would be welcomed.

Houston's good? :noidea:
Im Not No Way GIF

If the offense isn’t better we will see Hawkins at qb by halftime this week. It has to happen, you have to have a guy that can run to help out this horrible oline.

This is what I'm thinking.
Arnold has not been impressive at all. Zero Zilch Nada. Not one time.

Which is surprising. That has been one of OU's most consistent and steady positions. I don't think people realize how good they were during the Mayfield, Murray and Hurts days. While those three could tuck it and go when needed, they were also protected well when a completion was really needed. JMO.

Honestly I’m more concerned about the play calling. Running it up the middle on first down every series isn’t going to work.

Spencer Rattler 2.0? Amazing considering everyone in the Country wanted JFA.
Let's assume for a minute that Jackson Arnold isn't a total bust. He just needs more time than we hoped it would take. The problem is Mommie is likely to come pick him up in the station wagon, kiss his boo boo, take him to Dairy Queen for some ice cream and then go find someone who really appreciates him. I fucking hate this transfer BS that has infested college football. I was raised in an age when you toughed stuff out and made the best of a bad situation. Now it's a Cut-and-Run generation. You just know Venables is scared to mess with the kid's head for that reason. If you want to fix the O problem, look at getting rid of Littrell. Dude runs the ball every series on first down. He did it 8 times out of 9 series yesterday. He couldn't coach a dog to scratch.

And I had such high hopes for him

we've multiple issues of course

OL patchwork isn't patching in run OR pass sets
WR depth being challenged
Young QB playing hero ball and not taking what's available

nut cutting season for the OCs and associated staff

nothing near complimentary football is being played and I hope BV starts hanging pelts on the wall
