Houston BANS e Cigs in public places

Point out which question.
Why should anyone respect your right to be left alone when you wont do the same? if you can contain your smoke to not bothering me i dont give 2 shits if you are smoking and wont attempt to do anything about it, but if you refuse to control your smoke and where it goes then you are willfully encroaching on others right to be left the fuck alone

or go postal on people, but if you think your rights are infringed in the case we are discussing you really aren't going to like prison.

At what range is the smoke affecting you? I will attempt to smoke outside that distance if you will attempt to stay that far away from me.

25 ft

like the law says

So now we are going to put vapers in prison? Shoot them if they don't comply?

why should i have to attempt to stay that far away from you? your smoke has no right to my air space and if i am not in your personal space then regardless of my distance you shoudl be expected to control your smoke and keep it in your own personal space, you have no right to anything else

Do you have some data to back up the claim that is a safe distance? Or is it an arbitrary number someone came up with?
Yes

My personal space is for me to determine. I choose the same space as you choose to be affected by my smoke

No, your personal space is not up to your determination. Your smoke has no rights

Nope, just you if you want to take the "Mano y Mano" approach or the refusal to accept laws approach you have been advocating.

Great then my personal space is determined by me. See how that works? Now get out of my personal space, as the law states :suds:

Ok, comrade.
No you cannot appropriate other peoples space as your own, you have no right to any space other than your own. It is pretty simple, my space is not yours and your smoke has no right to it.

bottom line @Kburjr is if you are following the law by going outside and smoking and someone comes into your personal space then they are shit out of luck. However, if you want to smoke inside then you also are shit out of luck. If you want to be inside, then don't smoke.

This is all really simple and its the price we pay to live in a civil society. Compromises will have to be made and that means some times you don't get your way. I understand kids these days not understanding that concept, but your generation should.

I stake out my space. It is your decision to invade it or not.

I do and obviously you do. But I have heard that civil society argument so much that it makes me question if we need to be any more civil.

No that is you invading my space i have already laid claim to it
