How about ND, FSU, Miami and Washington to the B1G... no Oregon

B1G isn’t doing anything without ND. There is literally no reason to and major financial reasons not to.

It ain’t no picnic going to 20 teams and unless they are completely stupid doing it just for the sake of doing it would be foolish.
But this is exactly why I ask what is the point of expanding past ND? If any other school available will have major financial reasons not to why would anything be added even with ND? You are cutting into the pie.

Is that you?

You have a point but it will be an even number. Why else did they take UCLA?

A very fair question and one I’m not really sure of if they truly aren’t going to add schools that won’t add to the pie.

why did they take UCLA
i don't really understand it
Only three reasons:

1. It cut the legs out from under the PAC and cut their value in half so more pie and less competition for the B1G.
2. They wanted a travel partner for USC and uneven numbered conferences are a nightmare to schedule.
3. It doubled other B1G exposure to California recruits.

Miami to the B1G is a good pickup and makes sense. Couple them with GT as partners if FSU is a no.

That seems more realistic. This is another one of those Dennis Dobbs leak so take it with a grain of salt. He is the source everyone is citing to.

It gives them the entire LA market and also takes SoCal away from the remaining PAC schools for recruiting.

Because the schools are in the same city, they're natural travel partners.

UCLA is a blue blood basketball program which raises the B1G's basketball profile.

ACC schools won't happen unless someone gets super desperate and wants to lose a shit ton of money paying GOR.

B1G isn't getting ND it seems like so West Coast make sense.

I disagree about Cal. They are a snobby liberal elitist school and B1G probably loves that. I can see B1G cleaning up Cal schools and adding Oregon/Washington to give USC and UCLA buddies and get into West Coast markets. I think Cal happens if Notre Dame won't make the move.

Warrens comments certainly made things interesting. But if the fact truly is any other school (besides ND) available will decrease the slice per team, why expand at anything past ND for ether of the P2?

Saying rent free while not being invited to dance is amazing
I'd prefer the SEC, but I think we all know Oregon eventually ends up in the B1G and when we do, Nebraska will go from their respected 6th place finishes in the B1G West to placing 8th.

Oregon is trash, no tradition and without USC nobody cares
