How did the best head coaches do in the first 6 years?

I don’t respect the competition. I demand perfection. Anything less than that is unacceptable. Once a choker, always a choker

Kind of rich that you demand perfection when you have been anything but. For years you called for CKS firing, and now you preen around here like a peacock talking like you are a national champion badass. Yet, you were wrong over and over and over. You must be sorely disappointed in your life if you demand perfection. All that said, preen away ... nothing will dampen my joy.
what the fudge are you talking about bro

@Illustrious Potentate is a perfect lil georgia peach and don't you forget it

I’m the very definition of perfect

I know you are just trolling, but this is so dumb. I mean he literally didn't choke - we entered the 4th quarter down and we came back, took the lead and held it - to give us a NC. But go on ahead ... we know you are a moron ... you really can't add much to that.
He’ll never shake 2017. It’ll define him forever. Also pissing away our 15-0 season

Take it easy on OP. If you get him riled up he’s gonna whip out his saweeet excel with his own personal team depth chart and recruiting big board.

LOL ... 2017 doesn't mean anything. Candidly, in his second year it was impressive as hell, even if we lost. Now it doesn't mean a thing and you know it. You are just trolling, and we all know it.

Means the world. It defined his legacy.

Obviously no comparison is going to be exactly equal. I get that. Still is impressive.

Most importantly, it puts to rest the whole Mark Richt 2.0 bullshit.
Mark Richt wins a Natty in 07 with a 4 team playoff. He probably plays for it in 02

I don't think it's a given that UGA makes the playoffs in 07. A 2 loss non division champ would have been a reach.

LSU
Ohio State

Those two were a given.

But then you had Oklahoma, USC, Virginia Tech and West Virginia who were 2 loss conference champs.

And for non conference champs, you had Missouri with 2 losses that played for the Big 12 title and Kansas, who only had one loss.

I bet the final 4 would have been:

Ohio State
LSU
Oklahoma
USC

Doubt that 2002 team could have beaten OSU or Miami.

Y’all would have beaten Ohio State. Miami, probably not

I didn't see Jim Harbaugh on the list, I'm sure that's just an honest mistake.

Also, 5 yards and one play short in 2012. The question was never "was Mark Richt a good coach" - he clearly was. The problem is that he had lost the intensity after 2012, and he was not cut out for what football became once Saban started dominating. His roster management was terrible, partly because he was a really nice guy. He didn't evaluate QBs well toward the end, and his LOS recruiting was not good at all.

Candidly this really sounds a little like Dabo. If he isn't willing to make changes, Clemson will get left behind. He will get a longer leash because of the ACC and the 12 team CFP, but they won't win another NC absent him changing his ways, IMO.
