You wouldn’t think it would be possible for Bryce Harper, of all people, to do anything quietly, or under the radar. After all, if there were a way to quantify “most career hype,” well, you could do a lot worse than pointing to the guy who was on the cover

Yay. MVP talk on a guy that, while not horrid at all, was asleep a lot of the first half, and has just now woken up. Love to see what he’s doing right now. Give him what label you want, he’s raking.

As far as this MVP nonsense goes….I could see Harper playing into contention and being possible if the Phillies were also to take the NLE. What was supposed to be a super competitive division has been underwhelming and open to take.

And, as much of a homer as I am, I am not seeing that as possible at this point.

He wasn't really asleep, just took him some time to get right after taking a fastball to the face. His May was abysmal, and he took that fastball to the face at the end of April. Took him til about the middle of June to get back on track, which is a hell of a lot faster than I would have expected.

That’s right. Crazy that I forgot the face shot he took.
 
So is Trout just not returning this year? Did his calf muscle pop out of his skin or something?
