hungover friday without the hangover

A/C went out yesterday afternoon. The rain finally goes away and temps get into the 90's and the FIRST DAY the damn compressor grounds.

New outside unit on its way, ETA 30 minutes.
Temps been in the 90s/100s all week bubba

Not in Texas. It's been raining like mad the last two months, lakes are all closed because they are so high. So now Dallas feels like freaking Houston in the 90's and high humidity.

So you guys will be losing electricity shortly then?

Nah, heat never gets us. Just once a century freezes, but we are fixing that too.

Blah. Gross and sticky right now. Hate it

Yeah how is that fix going?
Law passed forcing the weatherization of the gas and electrical plants as well as the implementation of a citizen alert system for when rolling blackouts will be occurring.

It's hotter in my office right now than it is outside. But less humid inside. Catch-22. But should be fixed in a couple of hours.

Daughter will be spending the weekend with us. Husband is going home to visit and take a "pistol class" with his Dad. Daughter had to do a 4-hour stint in the hospital due to dehydration from hyperemesis. She's on anti-nausea pills now, and they seem to be helping. She just doesn't want to be alone with things go south again.

that's not a catch-22

Put a flank steak in the fridge to thaw out. Going to take a page out of pnk's book, and stuff it

It’s so fucking humid right now. My morning run felt like I was running through a sauna. No bueno.

Summer humidity in the South. Who knew, right?

Sounds like a very stable relationship.......

I usually go ahead and apologize ahead of a night out drinking with friends or people I don't know.

There are good reasons to live in Dallas rather than Houston. General lower humidity is one of them.

I do like West Dallas. And strangely enough I've been all over Texas but I've never been to Houston.

You'd think that would have already been addressed from the beginning but obviously not..

Why not. If I open the window I get humidity and slightly less heat, if I leave it closed I'm not humid but hotter.

Damned if I do, damned if I don't. That's a catch-22.

Probably with that though is, will said people remember you already apologized after throwing back and few?

Turn off your A/C for a full day, go into the bathroom and turn on your shower on full hot and let it run like that for about 10 minutes, then go sit in the bathroom with vent fans off and door closed.

That's Houston.
