Hurricane Ida

Did the same thing. Went to bed around 1:30 am ET (before the 2 am NHC Advisory) and it was still 105mph and woke up and it's 150mph. Looks like it's gonna hit landfall in about an hour or so.

NOT good at all down that way... :twitch:
I once had an Uber driver take us out to the airport in New Orleans and she told us her Katrina story. They lived in the ninth ward. They were smart enough to go to her parents before the storm (two story house) and ride it all out on the second story.

Her husband and father would forage out into the water to try to find food and come back all cut up from it. Husband got a horrid infection that almost killed him.

It’s truly nightmare shit that I hope to hell doesn’t repeat for any of them again here.

They (WC) were just showing some video footage of the water already coming into Grand Isle with just 45 mph winds... Looked NASTY!
The Live YT Video of the Grand Isle Area Now - NASTY looking already.

(Note: Owner of this YT Channel doesn't allow his videos to be embedded on other sites) That's why I just posted the YT link.

OOPS!! Ninja'd by @TigerBait1971 ... I need another Sunday shot >>> :drink:

Haha. Why do people live in North Dakota?
There for a while a lot of people were moving to North Dakota. Pretty well all you needed to do to land a good paying job was show up and say you wanted it. I'm sure they got shitcanned for the lightest of infractions, but I had more than one acquaintance move there to work.
