The Pat McAfee hate is weird... I don't particularly like him or anything, but he added some personality to a tired, dying hype show. Ratings suggest the show needs him... Pretending the show doesn't need him, or someone like him is like an edgy teenager who has to tell everyone he doesn't like the Beatles or something.

The show especially needs him now more than ever with Saban on board.

You’re probably right. I just wish he would cut back on the wrestling promo shtick a bit. He can actually have some interesting and funny takes when he’s not going full stooge. Sometimes he’s just a little too try hard imo.
